Hello lovely people! We've had LOTS of calls and emails today about so called "methane reducing" additives, and whether we feed them to our cattle. The current one doing the rounds is called Bovaer.
The simple answer is a resounding "NO"!!
Our cattle and sheep are fed a natural diet of pasture, and our farm whilst not certified organic, does not receive any SPRAYS, CHEMICALS or other nasty stuff. Our livestock don't receive any other nasty stuff either - just preserved hay with no additives and certainly no grains or soya.
At Old Hall Farm we don't believe in "quick fixes" which are dubious in terms of their efficacy and origin. We believe in a holistic approach to all things and look to provide only the best for all of the creatures at the farm and of course you as our customers too.
So, I hope that this clears everything up! If you have any questions as always do let us know. Rebecca x
