Milk, Butter, Cream and Buttermilk

Our emphasis is on producing an ethical and sustainable product through high welfare and nutritional standards with local sourcing of labour, products and non gm supplementary feeds. We want our customers to be informed transparently via open days and proofing. Our milk is local direct from the farmer. No middlemen and no unneeded processing.

The Newben herd of cows was established over 50 years ago by Tony Bennion. All the ‘girls’ have names and are milked every day by a family member, with Tony still caring for the herd and milking several times a week.

Our happy cows are FREE RANGE and they have free access to a comfy indoor shelter 365 days a year, if they wish.

Unlike many herds, they have free access to pasture for up to 9 months of the year. In the winter they are fed conserved grass. They sometimes have a small amount of non gm supplementary feed that comes from Carrs Billington based at Stone, near Oswestry.
