You can rest assured that we will not be using the feed additive Bovaer, which is now being trialled by Arla dairy farms. Our milk and meat production is based on traditional, organic pasture and non-intensive farming methods.
Nature knows what it's doing
Bovaer ( chemical name 3-nitrooxypropanol) is a synthetic chemical used to reduce cow methane production. As with all unnatural additives with side effects that include reducing ovary size and heart size in cows. This ( or metabolites) will find its way into the milk we drink. Tested for just a few weeks. Long term effects? I don’t wish to find out thanks. Future health of the cows????
Thank you for confirming that you produce natural, additive free food. I today went to middle Farm, Nr Lewes to buy milk and cheese as I will never buy these products from any supermarket again. My next visit will be to you. It will be my honour, Moreso duty to give my money back to the local, genuine communities that feed us wholesome, natural food, than to line the pockets of faceless, greedy and immoral shareholders. I would 100% recommend every human of this great country with a soul to do the same. Thank you! x
You don’t explain why you won’t use Bovaer. Why are you against its use?
It sounds somewhat unnatural to kill off healthy bacteria, which I believe is what it does, and I really can’t see that it will save the planet.
I drink B.O.B milk but I’m not sure I should now.
Thanks, and I support you farmers against the Rachel Thieves IHT changes.
